Latest news is that the manager of old oak common may soon have 50033 Glorious on his books and will be a welcome addition to the home fleet.Work planned today is the road bridge that ran along side the freight only line and depending on time i intend to start a tower light which the 1st one intends to light up the turntable area.

Where did the time go today.
Work complete on the road bridge and still needs paignting.I will mention that 1 the road bridge i think is,nt wide enough and 2 the main spans are not long enough but i dont think i can be bothered to alter it.All my time was taken up with this today so no work on the 1st tower light done at all.Pics will show this wene complete.

With the news that 50033 has been held up the management at old oak are asking the construction workers to push ahead with erecting the 1st tower light at the depot.Time permitting as the road bridge took longer to erect as thought i will try and push ahead with this work this weekend before my next visit by chris (cme ).Ark royal will be kept ready and waiting to collect 50033 on news of her arrival.

The management have been shown pics of glorious and now await her arrival.I will intend to put pics up of the new road bridge and comments on your views welcome as i have said its come out a bit short on width and the spans are wrong but will leave it as it is.

Pics here of the latest bridge.
The bus is of course used for scale as not a london bus and the cl33 somehow worked its way to the freight line.

Dave
Didn,t really take the size but is roughtly a foot and half long and like most structures is made and cut from 2mm carboard left to dry and then painted. The road bridge as i may of stated i am not happy with and has not come out like the original found at the depot but have decided to leave it as it is as my spare time will now be spent attempting to do some tower lights around the depot which will be made of thin strips of plasticard as like my ex n gauge ones now seen on chris (cme) old warren layout.I will also try and get a london bus to replace the one in the photo.

Hi Richard as a sort of tribute to your amazing layout and the fact we both think RNSE dark blue is the best Livery (NSE style) to be carried on a vac.
Here is my favourite pic i took of 35 at her home depot on a crisp Sunday Spring Morrning March 1990

And a very nice photo indeed that also shows the bank and flats behind. What has baffled me around this time span is the colour red on the turntable lights as i have modelled white as in other photos shown.

Hi Richard they were red as clearly seen, i belive repainted in late 80's but do not know the exact date.
For your interest Richard just checked my records the date was the 04/03/90 and on shed that day Vac wise were 50023/24/31 available and in the factory 50033/34/36 undergoing repair Laira's NWXA 50016 also undergoing repair.
Vanguard later worked 1M01 15.13 Wolverhampton which i had throughout and back on return working :)
Ark Royal had just recieved repairs and as such had no diagram.
There was loads of strumming devises and other locos but no records as i did not record if not a 50.
Right at back of depot looking very forlorn was 50039 Implacable R.I.P  a former favourite of mine.
Some more you may like :D

Work progressed slowly again today but the 1st tower light is up and after a slight problem with 1 of the 4 lights failed to light up is now ready for pics to be taken later.
It was always my intension to have 50035 in RNSE livery but due to my situation is being put on hold.I have revised the lights on the turntable back to red.
