12x2 ft Exhibition layout.
I have been busy around my local model railway club and now i have got 2 6x2 ft boards with folding legs for an exhibitions from a very generous man. So i cleaned up the celler and placed the boards down. I have got a ruff plan and a time i am sticking to. An 00 gauge end to end layout based on 1960 western region with a few midland region loco's creeping in. So i am making a list of what i need to do. Number 1, Brace the board's leg so it does not fall over. Any questions ask.

Hi Tim - what track will you be using? Peco or Hornby? Do you have any western region diesels or is this on your Christmas list!

Re: 12x2 ft Exhibition layout.
Thanks all.
Yes the track is peco code 100 streamline with a few setrack straights to help. I am a big fan of hydrulics(Adore the hymek)but it seems like a 56xx i am prying. For filming I will ethier use my phone(not very good quality) or borrow a camara. Hopefully i can get a camara for christmas. I am going to club and will take some my loco's there. Oh and a thought if you come over eastern you could come to the model railway club(only a thought).

Re: 12x2 ft Exhibition layout.
Little update.
I have got a new camara and a new loco.
The loco is a fantastic 56xx by bachmann.
Boards have been braced and Trackplan has been drawn.
The plan is the Heart of Wales, Based on a station called "Pantyffynnon".
The name of the layout i think will be on the lines of "Lanndidu Junction".

Re: 12x2 ft Exhibition layout. Now called Llanffynnon Junction
The layout is called Llanffynnon Junction (Its a mix between Llandrindod Wells and Pantyffynnon) Which are both on the central wales line. I have laid out the track and am now cutting it to size, fitted fish clips ect. Hopefuly i will order the point motors soon (Peco extended pins with probe and tag sytem). Having trouble putting pics up it says is invalid i have joined photobucket, still confused. Oh and i have been booked in for an exhibition for my local club on the 30th of april.... I have 3ish Months to complete it

Re: 12x2 ft Exhibition layout.
I for one would highly look at getting a hymek as these little lines saw them quite often on short trip freights and are an ideal size.Look forward to more progress.
