Proper good job on the track bed, track and ballast and general grime/dust, looks the business that.

Wee bit of an update, been having a play with the redundant points from the far end loco release, and have come up with a sweet little headshunt;

Now the thing is.., do I retain this as a headshunt, to stable loco's for the shunt release etc, or, do I add an inspection pit and have it as a bit of a motive power depot?

I'm liking what youve done with that end of the layout, i recon you should turn the road closest to the running line into a small MPD like the one at pickering with just the inspection pit and a portacabin on site. Other wise you could just leave it as a siding for coaching stock but the MPD sounds like something that would work well with your layout.

Right, a small amount of progress, my new Fairburn poses next to my new pagoda shed on the platform (although I'm not happy with the quality of my platform building!)
and yes, the back bogie is off the road lol!

Time for a long overdue update...
Right, to start with, scenery has progressed, with the addition of yet more spearhead fencing, a new station building, GWR platform benches, development of the town and new platform lamp posts, firstly, here is a shot of said lamp posts soon after installation:

These are Ratio Kits, with the one arm chopped off, and weathered with a mix of brown paints, although of Southern Region origin, these could also be seen on the Western, and until recently, resided at Bridgnorth on the SVR.

A Public house has also been bought and constructed, this is a Metcalfe coaching inn kit, any ideas on what to call it? I want a witty yet subtle name for it


More stock has been bought, including a job lot of stuff that requires a little TLC, included in this was a Replica Modified Hall, this was soon re-lettered and Re-named to 6960 Raveningham Hall, and for an old loco, runs like a dream


Right, onto the layout, the pub has been placed in the one corner;

The area behind the first pullman coach will be supplemented by a War Memorial or Fountain, just to fill in the gap, and the road surface will be dulled down with matt varnish to represent tarmac.

wow, great progress!! i do love your 6960, i have her in GW livery with the collett tender and the chassis is starting to give out, hopefully bachmann will replace them with new dcc ready chassis.

Got a name for your pub yet? You could call it the "Ferret and Dartboard" and create a sign for it with the BR "lion holding wheel" crest.
