Re: West Lulworth in O - Signals Pg8

Postby tom92240 » Mon Aug 20, 2012 12:10 pm

Hi all,

One of our group has been striving to install working signals and a fully interlocked system, as you may have seen in many videos and photos.

Spent the evening working on Version 2 of the signalling diagram which will eventually accompany the lever frame for the terminus at West Lulworth.

At the moment, there is no distant signal in place, so this represented on the diagram is a little premature, and still to go on are the track circuits and the distance in scale yards to all the signals from the centre of the signal box. Eventually, a separate panel will appear for the 4 sidings marked as "Quay Sidings" which will feature illuminated track circuits.

More stuff!

A Bachmann 03 has arrived:

Which I set to work on the windows, numbers, crests etc...

This one will represent 03179 in BR Green, with its current name of "Clive".

I also set about putting some transfers onto the Queen Mary I purchased a while ago

Image

And lastly, after getting most of "Clive" done, I took her for a test run

Madness isn't it, but a recent debate on another forum lead to the rough conclusion that locomotives are female, regardless of name.

Sorry to bump an old topic. But who makes the B4 you have?

And is that Queen Mary a Laurie Griffen offering?

hi Cypher,

The B4 is a Zero Zephers model, and the Queen Mary is indeed Laurie Griffen

A quick, long overdue update.

Some trains running today, including Q1 33001 (fresh from a repaint in her new fictitious post-war livery). New resident LMS 4F 43875 and 9F 92240

And there was me thinking I was definitely heterosexual!

Ah well, the good lady is going to be a bit miffed now I'll be using her wardrobe as well.

Some very nice models and a good layout to run trains. I enjoyed one of your videos.
You are all more tolerant of track maintenance than me by still using 3 rail.
Intuitively stud seems to be a better way to go for electrical reliability than 2 rail, I never found it so.
