Jim, do you still have the hopper windows? If so how much would you sell them for? As im currently converting a mk 3 tgs into a Irish rail mk 3 driving trailer.

Nice how to Jim, like yourself I have often wondered why people use working platform lights, street lights etc... just doesn't make sense.

Hi thebritfarmer
Working lights.
Makes perfect sense when its dark and the layout lights are on and the room lighting Off.
It adds another experience layer to the layout.
The only other time layout lights are any good is in dinghy poorly lit exhibition halls where they can be seen.
There they are just part of the showman that you need to be
At most exhibitions the bulk of the patrons are not railway modellers so a bit of showman ship and a gimmick or two goes a long way,
to making the patrons think they are getting value for money.
It all comes down to personal taste and what the entertainment setting of the layout needs to be :D
Oh! and the inner child likes layout lights
regards John

Hi All

Been busy working on the timetable boards for the B ends of the platforms

This means all the structures and pillars on this board are done. Thoughts are now turning to the ceiling and the lighting, theres more about that on my site.

Wow, that is really great. The work is so neat and that really makes it look full scale. Everyone I showed your signal building to thought it was a real building!

Hi Jim - The sloppy cabling job inside the subway ramp is spot on. Will you be representing any of the rats nest that lurks up above the ceiling line?
