Hi, thanks for the previous post.

We are in rather a poor situation to be building an 8x4 layout as we have no room indoors for it.
This is causing us a few weather/water proofing problems as we are building this on our veranda.
The reason for all the paint and pva is solely as a preventative measure to try to keep things watertight.

So yes ballast and scatter will be being used over the paint but i'm hurriedly trying to arrange somthing to allow us to have some more cover for our layout!!!!!!!!!

Heres hoping,

Yeah it would maybe be possible but i think a nice 12x8 garden shed would be just as good!

I need to speak to the financial advisor(wife) and see how it pans out.

Does anyone know anything at all about ross on wye's rail system which i've looked in to and believe to have been closed circa 1965.

Novices together, me and my boys First Railway

Postby craighatch9 » Sun Oct 18, 2009 8:39 pm

Well talk about slow progress!!!

Our outdoor(but should be indoor) layout has bitten the dust as i'm sure you all new it would!

We have spent the last few weeks buying up odds and sods from ebay and the good people on here, thanks martyn and josh.
We have decided that with winter drawing in fast that our idea to build on the veranda was not going to take off so we have replanned everything and i thought i'd let everyone know how far we have come.

This has now become the sum total of our efforts.
I've not yet investigated the loft with decent lighting so will post as things take shape.
thanks for looking.

Well we've been away for quite some time!!!!!!!!!
the sum total now ofour layout is preciseley................zip.

Its taken a long while but we are now moved and settled elsewhere having lost everything we own.

Time to start again.

Currently i think we have two coaches so this is a layout in desperate need of help,no track nothing.

Its nice to be back on here after such a hard 18 months so we look forward to seeing a lot of what weve missed.
