Well, I went up in the loft for about 5 minutes and got a few snaps. so this is really just a photo update so no new news here :P

Kudu sits by the Bridge

The pannier waits in the siding at Foxbridge

GWR Terrier trundles along with a single truck in tow

A bit of action in the town

a low flying aircraft heads over foxbridge

I Have decided to create a road along here that will be mostly disused (the bridge can verify that  ) I shall also have a disused/abandoned house on this road.

well then, until I have a proper update, goodbye :)

Hi Ben,

Still making great progress, some nice loco's in the last few updates......very nice

Love the WWI Tank, I've never seen a kit version before, is this a new purchase ?

I hope that signal box man got the sack for letting two trains be on the same line, terrible all those model figures stranded & with no means of getting home to their loved ones, shame.

Catch ya later.

no that WW1 tank i've had for about 6 years :P it just hasn't made its way onto CX, i have made quite a few kits but only a hand full are the right(ish) scale for OO and also the right time period (this time its WWII)

No, he hasn't been sacked, but he was in charge of the clear up :P

I took delievery of a parcel today :D
and it had in it;
an electronic's kit of sorts
Image
a large bundle of stuff! (including, a wagon, an 08 body, a on-on switch, metacalfe paving slabs, porters trolly's and more)
Image
Also in the parcel was this building, although it has been repainted everything that is brown was green)
Image

I have also done some scratch building (wehy!) its an anti aircraft gun of sorts
Image
heres its ammo
Image
and here is where it shall sit. (it will be painted and weathered a bit first:P and it will also fit into the surroundsing better :P )
Image

Here is Foxbridge station now :) To complete it will need as water crane, people, signals, posters, name plates and the waiting shelter and signal box will be repainted into the same colours as the main building.
Image

Theres a trolley with baggage.
Image

This is the 'War' train at the moment. the pepsi wagon will be repainted (and it needs wheels) and the box van needs a red cross. (I also need a spacer wagon, does anyone know what sort of wagon would be used and what livery it would be in?)
Image

The paving in castle cross is now done :)
Image

Right then time for random pics me thinks :D
The last train of the day leaves Foxbridge
Image
a coal train trundels by with GWR #6 in command

SIr Nigel Gresley Passes behind the MkV
Image
SNG stopped at the signals and is now having a bit of trouble to start the heavy train up again (as if such a thing would happen in real life? :P )

SNG passes the camera at speed after getting its train moving again

The war train with 2847 in charge

I have been doing a bit of work today (and last night) on/for castle cross,

Firstly I have modified my 28xx. all of its electrics have been removed, it now runs (relativley) freely, by being pushed/pulled
as you can watch HERE
Image

I have also taken delivery of another Airfix Royal Scot to use as spares for my current one :)
Image
this is my old one with some of the spare parts added :)
Image

didn't do it today but i a while ago i painted the road :) at foxbridge
Image
and i've nearly finished it, i just need to paint this bit (i have removed lots of stones/gravel from there
Image
and here is where it comes out, i will probably try and make a bridge there and jsut like nearly everything else on foxbridge it will be disused/broken/decaying
Image

I usually try to keep my layout tidy (like Mike) but today i just cba to tidy up after multiple times of being in the loft and not tidying, so I'll probs do that tomorrow when i go up there and get some more scenic work done :)
This first pic doesn't quite show how untidy it is...it is infact a lot more untidy :P
Image
lots of untidyness :P
Image

Thats all for now

I just had a quick look on the scale scenes website, as I was thinking about replacing one of my tunnel portals on the foxbridge branch and I have now got a list of things to get (just rail scenes)

Viaduct-£3.99
Image
Low Relief Arches-£3.99
Image
Tunnel Portal-£3.99

The viaduct will replace the bridge, the low relief arches will go behind the station, and the tunnel portal on the Foxbridge Branch

Image
Image
and to compliment the corpse
Image
theres gonna be a body in one of the lakes
Image

due to misleading print on the bottle i had a go at weathered a loco body....with what i thought was a brown ish colour. but was infact gold and sparkley :x
Image
but i almost got it clean :P
Image

ever wondered why they dont load coal trucks in platforms?3 wagon loads of coal in one wagon=fail

looking good Ben. I still think a little scratch built dog kennel would go in the gap in the fence. Made from cereal packet, painted to look like brown wooden boards, a little rounded door at the front and then a wee 00 scale model dog figure. Like the dog kennel in "Shaun The Sheep" (and don't say you don't watch it) :P

I would do that, but i want fill it up right to the top and a dog kennel that size would be a bit weird, but thanks anyway :)

I do watch it, and I love it :) I even have a Shaun the Sheep Scrunchie for in the shower XD....

btw its Shaun...not Shawn.... :P
