Hello again

In the fictional world of Hampton Hill it is 1999 and the 'Sheds' have arrived, they are taking away duties from aging locos such as 37114 leaving the 'tractor'on mundane duties like ballast workings. A few mintutes later and we move to 2005 and Nothern rail has come on the scene! 8) A video of the workings of today is included.

Here is a video showing my new class 66 66200 and class 156 156484

Image

The quality isnt the best but better than previous videos.
Let me know what you think

Hi Andrew

Ha Ha yeah the steam loco 0-4-0 on a plinth is a memorial to the areas railway heritage, soon a sign will be made and placed in front of it informing passing people what it is and why it is there,a good way to use an otherwise redundant loco

I spent some more xmas cash today and recieved the following

1x R8216 point decoder-not long untill my points are electronically controlled-that will add realism.

1x 36-553 loco decoder

1x Metcalfe terrace house kit

1x Scenecraft civil engineers

Skalelighting and paints for weathering.-lighting in buildings will add atmosphere.

56003 is now chipped and will soon join Arpley Streets stable which consits of 4

66200,37114,156484 and 56003-enough to create a timetable and have prototypical operation

Hello

Well recently I have been very busy with Arpley Street.
I have stratchbuilt a new station to replace the old one which didnt look right. The new station which is still unfinished has been built from plasticard and the overall roof really adds atmosphere.

Time for some pictures :)

Nice warehouse, I love modern image layouts as I'm too young to remember steam days and so can't really associate with the layouts as well.

Same here nick,my earliest memories of trains is seeing 37s and 56s at Warrington Bank Quay and Arpley Yard, that was about 1999 so I decided to model the railway I have seen so far in my lifetime-Hence Arpley Street. :)

I grew up 5 minutes walk from Whitemoor yard in Cambridgeshire and saw it's use in the 80's as an engine shed, through to it's demise and subsequent closure, then to it's subsequent rejuvenisation with Network Rail. Would make for an awesome model if someone had a spare 60ft or so to play with, (to include March station and yard through to Creek Road).

Hi once again

Here is a few pictures and a video. The track has been altered recently,I have added another siding which will become a scrapyard!
It will be a loading terminal, this will add extra operating potential as I can have an 08 shunting wagons to and from the terminal. Also as my old hornby points kept derailing my big locos like 56 and 66 I have replaced them with Peco ones, these dont derail stock so thats that sorted!. :)

New scrap terminal

Track alterations

On ramdom image,56003 and 66200 resting between duties-66200 isnt working that well at the moment and is being sent off for repairs.

Image

And finally a video showing 56003 on an enterpise duty, also it shows the bus depot fuel pumps completed, fully scratchbuilt.

Image

No comments?.....

Bye for now,

Lewis :)
