Wow !.. Is that jag a "Cararama" 1/72 scale or one of the latest releases by Corgi 1/76 ? Great realistic background scenery too !

Seriously ,.. Nice car there, although a little pricey to insure for me ! I'll stick with my renault Kangoo MPV... as i like a car with a big loadspace & to carry my wife & kids.

Anyway enough about my cars...

Received what i was hoping to be my lovely Station building with Overall roof for my Steam station via FedEx yesterday

ImageImage

Well this is what it looked like before they got their hands on it anyway! :(

The FedEx man came to the door and handed me a split open parcel & then a few bits he had found in his van.

I looked through the large hole in the package and feared the worse, sure enough every pillar had been snapped off or broken in two and some of the panes of glass & the end frame where also broken, i guess such a rare one off fragile item just had no chance of survival in the hands of the delivery men, no doubt having other heavy items stacked on top of it at some point i guess & being thrown about even though it had fragile written all over it.

So all in all I'm disappointed & gutted that I'm now gonna have to spend a lot of time and more money (on new pillars) to make the canopy usable again as nearly all the pillars are broken i don't think glue will fix this mess.

I'm annoyed more than anything i guess as i was hoping to get this straight on my layout at the price i paid for it, and just wish what was a lovely item, would have still been a lovely item when i received it.

Thankfully the fantastic Depot / Warehouse / goods shed building complete with powered rolling door faired better along with the open roofed Shed!!

Just glad my Alan Downs Tudor buildings arrived in one piece!!

On a brighter note, i've just bought some accessories for my RAF base :D

Took a FGW Train to London recently for the 1st time in years... Big mistake!

Made me want a model version of it plus a few other locos i spotted on route (bar the Steamys) so having sold 2 of my cars last night...

Orders have been placed for the following new items :D

ImageImage

They shall share space / exchange places with the current BR Blue / Swallow / Railfreight (60's-00's) section of my layout as most of the buildings & station etc should fit in today's infrasture... hopefully... otherwise a bit of imagination will just have to come into play

& a lovely Weathered Deltic in BR Green & some rolling stock

P.S. for all those who were gonna ask... Yes i will try to lay some more boards etc soon & Yes i will try to have another sort out too lol

Growing old is compulsary, growing up is optional!

ALL CLASS 50`S SHOULD BE CUT UP INTO SMALL PIECES AND USED FOR SOMETHING MORE USEFUL LIKE A PAPER-WEIGHT
