CURZON STREET MODEL RAILWAY NEWS UPDATE FRIDAY 12th JUNE 2009:

Remodelling News Part 2:
Since the installation of Curzon Locomotive Stabling Point approx a week ago, Ive not been totally happy with the layout or appearance of the location, so.....

I remodelled the location with an additional siding and long single road headshunt.
Curzon Street Junction still leads off the mainline but now onto a long headshunt, locomotives then need to reverse back towards Curzon St Junc, and onto the actual stabling point, which consists of four dead end roads, 3 with enough length to hold 3 and 4 Class 60's and the remainder with enough length to hold two Class 60's.

Traction and Rolling Stock News:
Curzon Street Model Railway has two new additions, BUT im keeping them underraps until the full line up is complete.......  8) :D

Ta ta for now....

Tee-hee, I just knew you were gonna change something again fairly soon :P

Seriously though Marc, it's coming along beautifully and those shots at the end of last week show off the fact that you're gonna have some awesome operational potential :D

Cheers fella

CURZON STREET MODEL RAILWAY NEWS WEDNESDAY 17th JUNE 2009:

Traction & Rolling Stock News:
Four down one to go!

Contruction News:
Ive recomenced contruction work on the North end town scene with the right hand side of Bourne End Junction bridge retaining walls being put into place, however I still need to fit the actual floor to this section that will support the town.

Im also thinking about added another bridge across the mainline and stabling point headshunt, a little North of the SD, this will link upto the town scene at the North End.
Time will tell if this comes off.

Hi Marc

are you still planning on buying some lima class 60s and removing the motors so they can be shunted to represent stored locos or are you going to use the Hornby ones to be stored ones as in the pictures?,obviously without removing the motors.

great 60 fleet btw

I think in time i'll get some lima 60's with suitable weathering and parts removed such as cab windows, exhust etc. Its seem a shame to butcher a £60+ Hornby 60! :D

Cheers.

Neighbour two: "Yes, it's Marc next door. He's rebuilding his layout."
