I have upgraded some of my loco lamps, to look more realistic.
I have fitted them to one of my locos to ensure they loco better and work better.
This is the Loco It was a had loco to add lights but not imposable.
Here are the lights

I am struggling to get a clean clear picture of the lamps close up.

nice lamps martin
so do tell, how did the fitting go? i don't like the sound of the word 'had' as i think its a typo for 'hard'! and its the loco i wanna fit one of mine on!

Had = Hard

The front light wasn't to bad, in fact quite easy. The rear was the bugger.
I made it hard for myself as I didn't want the wires to be seen.
This loco has been wired up for Dc at the minute, until I get those decoders. It has no space for a decoder, so I will have to do some chopping and lose a little weight.
I am fitting a 4 function decoder in it. I will have:
F0 front light
F1 Rear light
F2 Fire glow
F3 Dim lights

A little update.
My Class 158, sat to long at the station and got pimped. I have Added interior lights , replaced the directional lights, with better LEDs. and added a cab light, that comes on with the rear red lights. On the front directional lights, I have added a larger resistor to one so it is dimmer, a bit like the real thing. It is yet to have yellow/orange LEDs added on the side, to simulate the warning light when the doors are open. Also the decoder has to be connected and wiring finished, then programmed. I have a driver/guard to add to hide some of the wiring and got some corridor connections in the post, which will also hide the wiring., to the next car.
Here are some pictures.

I just haven't had the time for model railways lately! BTW that 158 looks fantastic with the addition of those lights!
