Matt, come on ease up. Nowhere does it say it was renumbered - one could take it that he has just ordered nameplates to replace the existing ones. We were all young and excitable once.

I think he's asking about Merlin and if he named and renumbered it himself, which in my book is a very reasonable question....so maybe you should chill out and stop getting at other members!

Nice pics and locos.....especially the A4!

I hope that clears things up for people, the A4 is good but 1 thing i reckon it needs is lamp irons, fitting the headlamps is proving hard.

Where did you get the tender for the 5mt? i'm looking for one the same as that to use with my Duke of Gloucester. Sterling work throughout! And I like your Sir Nigel Gresley, i'll be making one in BR blue when the new Hornby set with Kingfisher comes out.

That dildo, I mean A4 is looking much smarter than it was when you first got it! You've done a good job on her so far. Shame you couldn't get the letters/numbers in metal, still looks good though!

Hi Dan

that model of SNG reminds me of seeing it on a regular basis on the Shakespere Expresses and Santa Specials out of Marylebone in the 1980's at West Ruislip.

Keep Up The Good Work

the tender comes with it, but it is wrong for the DOG, the DOG has a BR1B tender my standard 5mt has a BR1F. My Standard class 4mt however has a BR1B, and you can get a BR1B with some of the hornby Britannias, this give the advantage that they have pick-ups.

Merlin is a Standard 5mt. The A4 is Sir Nigel Gresley.
