i'm not brave enough to attempt a non-dcc ready loco yet, my 4575 was sent out to jarl ayari and i will definatley be sending a few more his way in due course. The 60 i will attempt myself once i get chance to order some chips in through work. and cheers for the comments.

Re: Ollie's current attempt at an N Gauge layout - Kidderminster
haven't done much as of late due to a lack of wood, and i've run out of baseboard joiners!!!!
but i now have 3 for the mainline fiddleyard boards done and linkable, shown here with the track in a temp position.

and a few with stock on

as i said not much but i hope to get the legs for one of the boards built within the next week or so

Re: Ollie's current attempt at an N Gauge layout - Kidderminster
Made my first set of legs today, these are for the smaller board for the mainline fiddleyard.
These have been made fixed as i intend touse the legs from this board as a storage rack for some of the smaller boards, the others will be more storable.

this is the board the legs are for.

My layout will sit fairly high, 3'6" to be precise

I added a second brace near the bottom to add atability

a pair made up

Testing they fit

cross bases to make the structure rigid

The finished article
This took up the last of my wood so the others will have to wait for a bit, but on the roling stock news i have recently got hold of a farish Royal Scot 6115 and have ordered the royal 67 from dapol

New Arrival At Kidderminster!!
Finally got myself the main unit for the mainline, yes a centro 150. I'm very impressed with the model and it puts my ohter units to shame.

150125 running in on Grantham Abbot alongside a Chiltern 168 and Central 170

And on her new home of Kidderminster

Track Laying Has Commenced!!
I decided to lay the first piece of track!!! It is only one piece but it is the most expensive piece.

Shown in its glory
I also had a little play with my two digital engines

5553 on Autotrain Duties

And again with some choc/cream Colletts

66623 on PCA's
A milestone has been reached, just got to borrow my dads solder iron and we'll be in business!!!
