Blimey!! Looks like you've been saving up for an update and now you've had a splurge! Very welcome to see new things happening with your layout. I like the idea of hiding your controls in a warehouse. Very neat
Thanks

Fantastic layout Retroman, definitely one of the best on the forum.
Great detailing & the lines realistically sweeping round.

Another layout that seems to have eluded me, but this is fantastic work.
Commander tear this ship apart until you have found them track plans!

Thanks for the comments.
Hydraulic power on shed. D1058 WESTERN NOBLEMAN and D7042.

The shed lighting are the excellent EXPRESS MODELS strip lights, a doddle to fit but they need a trimmer to bring the brightness down.

Work on the last bit of un-modelled layout has commenced. When this has finished I will be closing this thread, I think 7 years is long enough.

The 03 collects a tanker and trundles off towards the shed.

This area to be filled with scrap, debris and other garbage associated with a steelworks site.

This is my final update on NRM. The thread has been going for nearly seven years, and the layout is now complete. It seems pointless adding more and more photos of the same subject.
The last area to finish off was the industrial section.

Eventually this will be home to the new Hornby Sentinel, but for the moment BR diesels are working the roster.

The 03 enters the Factory at caution.

A mainline loco has been drafted in to assist.

Meanwhile BR Van Man is kept waiting.

And so I say a fond farewell to NRM with a last look at my favourite loco class. 50004 blasts towards the camera. The reason I built this layout.

Superb stuff there, love the industrial area, surely another candidate for a magazine appearance.

Congratulations on a superb railway. I will be frequently refering back to your photographs. The industrial section is an inspiration. Thank you.

I second that along with Andrew's sentiments, hoping you will stick around and offer advise/comments on our efforts, also, rolling stock will come and go no doubt and I for one will be interested in keeping up to date with that, I'd love to see pictures of the Sentinel when it's deployed on the shunting section.
