I would echo the comments that others have already made, your latest creation is, as usual, excellent.

Thanks all, Dennis, Skyblue much appreciated.

Yes the back head casting was very good on this kit, and comes up well when it's been painted, I feel it's quite important to decorate these cabs when it's open and quite visible, but quite pleased this model in that area.

And now on to that M7, hoping to get some measurements and photos of my new project towards the end of April early May.

Thanks Scotsman123
Yes nice to do something a bit different, I am confident that I can fit it all in just with small alterations, I have made a 3D model to ensure it does work, so should be good, using castings, scratch building and 3D printing so should be interesting, I won't be writing it up here, but might be available in PDF format.

Also I would like to ask a little favour from those who view this thread, you can see on the previous page / pages, and on the kit build forum on my 3D print topic (viewtopic.php?f=6&t=42246) I am looking for your vote, I have entered a small competition with the 4 Metropolitan Coaches which are fully 3D printed, so all I ask is for your Vote, which you can login to the website using facebook and twitter, if you could vote that would be great and I appreciate it.

Latest video from the layout, probably to be one of the last due to a house move in the not to distant future.

Excellent video Matt, I liked the projects you're doing featured near the end, the E class is looking good, can't wait to see that finished.

Nickbrad
As far as I can remember, it's only been sent out on twitter, and Facebook, and will probably be on the website blog tonight. The last push for votes will be a video but it's still being made, and behind 2 others... I have posted links out a day ago on here and a couple of other forums where the 3D print projects have been posted. It's had 50 views from the time of posting.

Flyingscotsman123 - At least it has wheels well Flying Scotsman that is... lol
Thanks yes I thought about doing this for a while, problem is if people don't watch the full thing I know it's not the shortest clip in the world but if they don't view it then they won't know. Met Tank has progressed a fair bit since that photo was taken, but won't be posting a how to guide anytime soon, not here anyway... as my kit topic doesn't get much interest, but do from magazines... which is weird.

Hopefully do have 2 articles due soon, one I have just checked over the other I have not heard or seen anything since.
The Met project may also be another magazine article but still discussing that.

That's going to be a little smasher that Matt! Did you create the chimney with this new fangled 3D printing to? Definitely the future, but when the equipment is slightly less expensive for this modeller!

Top stuff!

Hi Chris

Yes the model was original built with those parts on the body shell but found they were misshapen so they were taken off and printed separately, which improved the quality and also improved the body shell. 3D printing is good but still expensive, it is however useful for creating master moulds for resin castings.
