Excellent stuff Retro. Love the 'unwelcomed visitor' reference...unless I've got my wires crossed, do you mean dog poo?

Anyhow, it looks good mate. The job you did on the base clearly worked a treat!

Cheers,

Tim

Derek, 'Dressed Stone Wall' by WILLS, about £3 a pack. The wall comes moulded in a light brown. I painted it grey and weathered it with a wash of white poster paint.

Thanks retroman. Wills do some nice bits, sadly nothing in N gauge.
You made a good job of changing the colour :)

Discworld book are amazing, as well as great stories, they also include a wealth of practical information.

Its a popular fact that 90% of the brain is not used and, like most popular facts, it is wrong. Not even the most stupi Creator would go to the trouble of making the human head carry around several pounds of unnecessary grey goo if its only real purpose was, eg, to serve as a delicacy for certain remote tribesmen in unexplored valleys, it is used. One of its functions is to make the miraculous seem ordinary, and turn the unusual into the usual. Otherwise, human beings, forced with the daily wondrousness of everything, would go around wearing a stupid grin, saying "WOW" a lot. Part of the brain exists to stop this happening. It is very efficient, and can make people experience boredom in the middle of marvels.

I'm going to have to get a picture of me in my 'Wizzard' hat later.

:?

Most of the above has been lost on me.

I must be getting old.

However, progress has been made. The pub is in place, luckily the Hornby Skaledale inn looks similar to the actual 'Port O Call' at Marshfield (insomuch that it has a gable). I've also put a war memorial on the turning circle outside St Peter's Church, and ensured that the congrgation can get to the bar for a lunchtime tipple via a 'kissing gate' in the fencing ...

Work also progressing on the girder overbridge. Please let me know if I'm boring you. :D
