Ooooh...you've got a quite a collectible APT (Advanced passenger train) there which was produced by Hornby in the 70's/80's if I remember correctly!

These are VERY RARE!

There is one on EBAY at the moment which looks like the same one!

Its currently at £127!!!!

Some I have seen reach as much as £200 on the odd occasion!

LOL! There is a lot of interest in it judging by the fact that it has been viewed 240 times!

It will probably go up a bit more than what its at now, so be careful not to end up in a Bidding war!

My EWS class 56 is Hornby

Hornby Product Number: R2288C - EWS Co-Co Diesel Electric Class 56 Locomotive '56088'

Know someone who has 6 APT's in his loft, he aint selling them though...

Anyway, excellent avatar- but living in Solihull, what else?

Just read the thread properly- another 2a driver (not a defender- angry glares in the direction on chuffer chuff!), great! :)

Just love going into the post office and walking out with a tax disc in hand, and wallet intact!

Hi there, your right 2A, but mines not a stock one, its sitting on a disco chassis, with a 300 TDI engine, built in 97 before the sva law changed, so got away with the tax exemption, good feeling when they hand it over for free, and the little box with fee says "NIL" ha sweet,

It's nearly a defender then really... wimp, why would anyone possibly want to replace real springs with them strange coiled things?

Looks nice though... As does the start you've made on the layout!

Superb pictures Mick! The yard look great!

I have some of those ECC CDA hoppers and I love them! The only thing I could fault is that they're a little light weight wise!

I like that Blue class 47 with the gray roof!
