Eastfield North - Dave K's 00 Scottish layout

Postby davek » Sat Jan 12, 2008 9:15 pm

After my first attempt at a layout turned out to be wildly ambitious, I now return wiser, constrained and focused in my goal.

Having draw several layout designs I returned again and agin to the tailchaser idea that allowed my loco's to stretch their 'legs' as most haven't run for over 10 years or are new.

The premise behind Eastfield North is that is an overflow for Eastfield during the period it was at its most busy - the mid 80's. It also has a small yard for shunting freight from the Highlands before dispatch to Mossend and other large yards or destinations.

See my dedicated website about the real Eastfield depot and my layout:

Some great work on the woodwork there Dave!

This is going to be an interesting project!

Keep up the great work!

I hope this is going to be an exhibition quality layout judging by the quality of the boards!

Mainly large logo 47/37s with a handful of railfreight 26/20's. Plus others as I see fit!
