Woah, what a layout. I would love something like that in my attic. Nice trains too!

Well I've been buying lots of bits for the layout to play with on the weekend, so I've been up the loft all evening having a crack at it. This weekend I'm gonna add lots of lighting to it! As well as some more ballasting, and some work on the depot area. Last weekend I finished the platform, its about 8ft long I think !

Anyway, heres a few pics from tonight !

1 - The new station car park lighting, and some little red ground lights on the station approach.

2 - The newest member of the fleet, (a bit of a bashed up pullman!)

3 - Station area :

4 - Another one

Bought a can of spray paint today and have been having a good go at weathering.... Was a bit heavy at first, but after a few goes I starting getting quite a good result, I'm especially pleased with the tankers.

Still a bit scared to do it to my Hymek and DMU... Even more scared to do the APT... Will leave them for now and practise on wagons I think...

Let me know what you guys think anyway.

1 - Have put some buffer beam detail on the dummy 58

2 - HST weathering

3 - The tankers

5 - And finally. I have fitted some outdoor lighting to the hotel.

For the lighting I have been using a battery pack with 4xAA batteries in it to power each building.... How long do you think they will last ? I dont have a clue. :-)

More weathering today, I think I'm really starting to get to grips with it. Pleased with the results...

Today I bit the bullet and took the can to my Heljan Hymek, as it was far too shiny.

Tomorrow if I'm feeling brave I'm gonna have a go at the 108 !
