Loco repair and service

Postby Dannyproc » Mon Oct 02, 2017 5:26 pm

Hi,

Could anyone recommend any loco repair /servicing companies? Some of my locos need a bit of a check up. Also interested in having someone else chip my older/smaller non dcc locos.

Thanks :)

For servicing Graham Farish I would suggest BR Lines,

I would ask BR Lines for recommendations of known good performers currently trading, while engaging him for the planned loco servicing.

Assuming you find offers for DCC fit at an acceptable price, it is worth asking for a look at the standard of the work and the running quality to ensure you are happy with what the money buys. (Let's just say that I have seen some unbelievably poor butchery on OO models, and that the space and isolation challenges are even greater in N, and leave it there. So, cautiously...)
