The New Farish Midland 4F

Postby Notroh » Fri Mar 20, 2015 9:10 am

I know I don’t model 1:148 at the moment, but as a treat, I received my pre ordered Graham Farish Midland 4F from our friends in Liverpool yesterday.

The detailing is just fantastic for an N scale model:

And look at this detailing in the cab – yes, this is N!!!

It has the new coreless motor in the loco, with all 6 wheels of the tender as pickups, she runs like a dream.

Farish seem to have gone to another level with this. Well done Farish

Oh what temptation! I'd been watching and waiting for this. When expected arrival date pushed out another 1-2 months I bought something else, so now it's here my money is spent. Aaarrrggghhh.

Lovely model - how I wish my patience had held.

With a loco as nice as that I wonder how much longer this statement will be true...? :)

I bought and received the special edition about a week ago. It is stunning, every bit as good as the model pictured in this thread.

Wow!

Better, I would say.

But what a lovely model and a great runner.

I now have the Seaside Excursion 4F and it does run brilliant. Really happy with it and the fact I got it on offer from Model Railways Direct. Cheapest I could find at £104.
