New Farish 2012 models announced!

Postby Karhedron » Tue Mar 13, 2012 11:34 am

Graham Farish have announced a lot of exciting new models for their 2012 range. I am not sure if this is the complete list yet or if there will be further announcements but I thought it worth sharing. News models announced so far are;

Streamlined Merchant Navy
Princess Coronation
Farish announce 57xx Pannier chassis upgrade (no mention of the bodies though)
A2 Pacific
Standard 4MT 2-6-4

Class 70
Deltic
Class 37/4

Bullied Coaches
BR Mk2A coaches

24 ton Polybulks
4-wheel CCT
BR horsebox
24 ton iron ore hopper wagon

To a pessimist, a glass is half-empty.
To an engineer, the glass is twice as big as necessary.

About time for a red stripe.

Good news for the mk2s and obviously I'll have a class 70!

A good selection of stuff but the GWR seem to miss out a bit. The only thing coming our way is upgraded pannier tank chassis. Not exactly thriling. :?

farish are great at lists, anyone still waiting for the 9F??. what they actually produce will probably be a lot less than their list gives impression of.

As far as i am aware the 9f was withdrawn. Personally the merchant navy and coaches are bloody fantastic news.

The Farish 9F was dropped a couple of years ago, along with the Class 222

The new Deltic is great - and so is the 37/4!

Very Chuffed (of Clagged if you prefer diesel) with this year's announcements.
Fair few locos that catch my eye:
Network Rail 97
Class 70
A2 Blue Peter
Brunswick Tornado
DBS Class 60
Plus a few more...

And also no less than 20 or so coaches to add to the collection! :D

I'd be thrilled - apparently the new Pannier 0-6-0 upgraded chassis will have see through spoked wheels, brake rigging and a new micro motor, and probably NEM coupler sockets, finer coupling rods and so on; sounds like a big improvement over the currrent version. It will fit under the 57xx and 8750 class bodies in a range of new liveries; that's hardly GWR missing out. Besides GWR already has the largest choice of existing models of any of the big four regions so at least this announcement gives the others a chance of a little catch up. After all they've always missed out, or been second, to the GWR on previous rounds of announcements. 8)
