Hi Fratton,

Just out of interest, whereabouts do you get unit/loco front NSE flashes from in N? I'm after a set but have never found any.

Cheers!

I remember spotting the 4 Ceps. 4Beps and 2 Haps as they were the locals to me. Those were the days! Used to go to Gillingham for anything more - late 60's

I remember going to margate for the week from victoria on a cep fantastic ride and dad paid second class ticket but we rode in the 1st class coach when we had to change at ashford, great mems. I also trainspotted at ashford in 1978 saw many of these. So owning one is as special as owning my 2 501s.

Mark.

Just in case you haven't yet bought one from Fox, I'm assuming that the transfers you refer to are the ones which are meant to go on the sides of coaches. I have the sheet and they're too big for the fronts on units/locos.

I had a load made up from Electra Graphics with the correct white surround. Also, there were some 4CEPs that were still in Blue/Grey with NSE flashes under the middle cab window. This is what I'm doing as well. :D

I tell you what... without the bars between the coaches it would be allot easier to make an n gauge BEP

I just got mine and opened it up, and nearly burst into tears because I love it so much.

I'm going to see what farish release for march but if there's no NSE version then I will have it sprayed into NSE or early SWT livery, and remove the TSO to run it as a 3-CEP.

Its truly amazing!

Hi all,

If anyone is still after the Farish CEPs there is an ebay trader doing them for BIN £99.99 which is a pretty good deal. I'm not affiliated with them in anyway, apart from having bought some items from them, always quick delivery, so its just a recommendation. Just search for graham farish 411 and it'll come up (its new as well).

Cheers,

Jimmy

Hi Ryan

Bachmann haven't done a refurbished CEP in OO yet, so I fear it will be a longer wait for a refurbished CEP in N. All the NSE and SWT liveried CEPs would be refurbed CEPs.

Cheers, Mike

Same for 'Jaffa Cake' livery too and the first refurbished units were in blue/grey, so they were around a long time.

4-CEP 7113, the one modelled by Farish, was refurbished 10 Oct'80 - 24 Feb'81, according to this website: http://www.scot.scotshome.com/cepunits/

After 24th Feb 1981, the unit had different carriage layouts etc (more details on the site above).
