For anyone wondering where their orders have gone then this link posted on RMweb will tell you why:

I hope that he does not crawl out from under his stone and try to return to the model rail market in a years time.

You'll need to post the full link chap. I suspect the jist of the story is there for all to gasp at though.

he can't, the XXXX is a word rhyming with prawn, this site will change it, unless he gets clever and posts the link with a different name :-)

by posting the link as is, this site changes the word to xxxx, which then breaks the link. It's a rude filter thing :-)

bit of a sod really, i was gonna get him to paint one of my loco's!

Rather sad really, someone trying to run an online business
However the law is the law and as such he would not be able to use a computer for some time (from memory it is 10 years after the original sentence)

I can't see this company resuming, online or through ebay, as Carl would be breaching the law again
However, we may see him at shows from 2012 onwards
However, he might just decide enough is enough, plus by this March 2012 the word will have got out "avoid this agent"

If it was down to me, he wouldn't physically be able to use his hands for painting models, let alone the other 'issue' ..children are safe again from this one. Praise where it's due with the police's continued work to rid this utter filth from our society.

ask a mod to lock it.
I think in terms of people who did business with the chap, it is useful to know he may no longer be trading. Anything else isn't really relevant to this forum.

Agreed

Tho i am concerned for people who sent him models to be worked on as if the police took them as evidence they could have some major problems trying to get them back.

I have no problem with the thread being locked but I would be disappointed if it was deleted as I believe it is important that people should Know about this individual in case he tries to return to the hobby...it is then up to a customers moral conscience whether to deal with him or not.

The next issue is the links to its-n-gauge.co.uk
The website is still live and not likely to be updated for some time
The phone number has presumably also either been disconnected

The owners here may want to remove all links to that website, or add it to the banned words (such that it replaces with something like "ceased trading")

The website should not even have existed. I have notified the moderators and hopefully they will have this thread locked soon. 44007, i think you did the right thing to bring this to the attention of possible clients of this criminal who may still be wondering what has happened. I think that enough has been said on this distasteful subject now.
