Perhaps not rarer but currently not in production so not easily picked up. Sellers probably know this and think hey what the hell. They don't have anything to lose.

I seem to remember they are quite hard to come by as they were not made for very long

Due to my ever worsening finances, I have been selecting Locos to sell, as such i thought my Farish B5 could go. I'm watching one on Ebay at the moment ant it is already £8 plus postage more than i paid for mine from Hattons. still 4 hours to go, crazy stuff
I shall indeed be selling the loco, safe in the knowledge their will be no loss on it :-)
Whoo, new job... big pay cut... but new job! yay

That's the way! If someone is daft enough to pay OTT prices then who are we to argue with them!

a deadly tap to fall into my friend. I've caught out a few times with this you have to remember that person stupid enough to pay that much has now paid that much

I had some farish MK1 Pullman's for sale and thought i'd make good money on them after seeing the same coaches go for over £25!

This was from rails of sheffield ebay shop you could buy the coachs new from them for 17.50!

But I suspect Rails have got people to push the price up I'm very suspicious of how well there second hand stuff sells after even just a few hours of listing sometimes.

I've yet to see someone win a bargin from them.

They sold several brand new Bemo Saxon IVks several years ago, one of which went for £289 and a couple just over £300, regrettably I was outbid (just!)... That may sound expensive but RRP was over £500 and normally, even on ebay they are going for over £400... that was a bargain for the lucky winner, believe me!

Having said that I've managed to get a secondhand one since for £200 via the 009 Society's secondhand stall...

I noticed the £45 sticker. But what also threw me is the packaging seems wrong as I'm sure this new model has come in bachmann's latest style of packaging and not the earlier type shown in the photo.
