New Modellers Shop

Postby saslord » Sun Apr 29, 2007 11:29 am

I have two updates to the shop site to announce.

1. I now have a business phone and can accept card payments over the phone.

2. I have almost finished creating a catalogue of all Hornby products, which will list the price I will sell every product if you wish me to order it for you. I also get a weekly stock list from my supplier so I can easily say if its available or not.

is it just hornby stuff you sell? I'd much rather get n gauge stuff from your shop. Bit harder if you dont sell it though :!:

What about postal orders, are they accepted.

I think with most hornby stuff if you ask simon he could probably order it for you

Do you know when the catalogue will be online?

And if you sell at exhibitions, would that mean you have a physical shop and you can sell Peco and Bachman?

Hello

I am not sure if they would consider that a retail premises but its worth looking into. I am also looking into getting a retail premises.

The catalogue is almost finished and should be online by this weekend.

Many people here run retail shops from home.. usually they've had a "real" shop in the past, though.

Is this a full time job for you, Simon?

No it is just a bit of a hobby along with NRM.

Because both these sites is getting busier I am considering reducing my full time work hours so I can run the shop and NRM and still have some time for leisure and my own layout.

I am considering opening a shop mainly so I can stock bachmann and peco. But thats a big step to take and will require more money to be put in to the shop.

If you sole Bachman and Peco, as long as it was at reasonable prices, i'd buy everything from you!

I would also say, if you stcked bachmann and peco a lot of people would probably shop with you aswell, obviously if it was competitive.

What about postal orders for payment as an option

I didn't think about postal orders. I will have to add that option.

Its nice to hear there is damand for peco and bachmann. If I could I would sell them now but I will have to wait untill I have retail premises.

Items in blue are kept in stock. Items in black can be ordered.

This year I hope to be able to make more of that sheet blue. :D
