Heading to Oxford city centre tomorrow (15th July). Are there any model shops in the area per chance? I've had a look at the model shop directory and it seems rather scant if wanting model railway related merchandise.
Thanks in advance should anyone firecdown an answer.

Afraid it's like many city centres, a desert as far as Model Shops go. It's hardly surprising when you see the rents for retail space. Howes used to be bang in the centre, they upped sticks and decamped out to Kidlington where the rents are slightly lower and you can park outside. Don't know what they railway stocks are like. they used to lean heavily towards R/C cars and aircraft.

Don't live that far from Howes (15 miles ish). There are not enough negatives in the English language to tell you all how I feel about this company.

I'd agree, their absence from the centre of Oxford hasn't detracted from my wish to visit the city. Drove in via Kidlington once just to see where they were, didn't feel inclined to go in.
