I have bought a number of items off this shop, both directly from the online shop and from their eBay shop. They are quite reputable but occasionally do make mistakes - like the rest of us, they are human!

The one mistake was an error in the description of a tender I bought off the eBay store, where it was described as a Clan Line tender chassis when it was, in fact, a Clan tender chassis. That one extra word made a lot of difference, with Clan Line being a Merchant Navy and a Clan being a BR Standard class 6 locomotive. They apologised and refunded my costs, and because I am in Australia, said keep the incorrect item anyway, being cheaper for them than paying for me to post it back. There were no MN tender chassis in stock to send as a replacement, but I was not out of pocket and I think the resolution was entirely satisfactory for me - they did the honourable thing.

They are a reputable model shop and I haven't heard anyone having problems. Contact them, I'm sure they will resolve any issues.

I've bought a number of spare parts and the like, no problems, not heard any complaints about them. So could this be a genuine mistake, or perhaps had it simply been in stock a long time and been handled to much?
