Welcome to the forum. We have fun in here. This month some of us are half way through a competition and some of the work that has been submitted is amazing.
I model in 7mm scale but in narrow gauge for the reason of being on a tight budget. I also have 00 stored away in two and three rail form, though I've not really used any of it the last ten years.
In 7mm narrow gauge I have the beginnings of a small portable layout known as Llwyndrissi Halt.

0 gauge is lovely stuff. Is a bit expensive, but there again, so is 00 gauge these days! (Why I prefer 0-16.5). Moving up to 7mm scale I find to be so much easier to make things.

I'm sure you will enjoy this site. :D
