Hi there everyone!

Just joined the NMRF. I'm fairly green when it comes to model railways, I had a Hornby set when I was younger (and we had a shed)! Recently felt the urge to start again, and have been jumping around on themes/era etc. So looking forward to learning more. :D

Hi and welcome!
You are in the right place, just give us a bit of info about your ideas and we will bombard you with expansions of them, which will galvanise your thoughts and provoke some pertinent questions! :)
A good place to start is with my website, especially with electrics, so have a look at my guides

Hello and welcome, Simon,

If not being directed/confined by owning existing trains you have a veritable world of options open to you.
Common model track gauges run from 9mm to 45mm with a few rarer ones beyond those limits.
And, because of narrow-gauge modelling, the range of scales is even more extensive.

Hello and welcome. It is a good idea to look at threads in here (And also elsewhere like YouTube etc) for ideas and for examples of scales and gauges. Also any questions ask away!
