Hi my name is Kevin and as a child I was fascinated with Hornby trainsets I was in the train club at my school. Years have passed since then but I have always loved model railways. So I took the plunge again and I have started to build an inglenook shunting layout around the 1960s era. Looking forward to being involved in the posts on the forum and I'm sure I will have many questions.. :D

Ha! I'm really surprised such an apt username has not been used before by someone on this site in its infancy. Well done. :D
Welcome. The 1960's just catches the last few steam locos but allows a really good choice of diesels. Is an interesting era when the new Blue and blue grey coaches co-exist with the maroon. Where most diesels were green but some new blue ones arrived. Quite an exciting decade to model indeed!
