Enlarged Buffers. A Thought.

Post by Mountain »

In 0 gauge it used to be the done thing to enlarge the buffers on the locos and the rolling stock as a workable compromize to allow for sharp curves without bufferlocking, and yes they were noticeable, but less noticeable then a large oversized coupling. It was a practical solution to a compromize that modellers were willing to live with.
I have rarely seen this on the smaller scales (Smaller then 0). If anything, on occasions buffers have been undersized rather then oversized on some 00 gauge stock from the past.

I write this because it may be a solution for some of your model railway projects. Just a thought.
