I have two GWR goods brake vans in my railway room down in the cellar, but three toads...
This little bugger has taken up residence in the corner by the door. It's not doing me any harm, so I leave it alone.

Re: Toads
Er no, I don't think so. They're not like mice. It's not going to breed down there. Toads are amphibians: they have to go to water to lay their eggs, which they do once a year in the spring. As it happens, a year or two ago a pair of them spent several hours coupled together about a foot outside the cellar door (which is at the bottom of an outside stairwell), and no, there was no subsequent plague of tiny toads.
I don't know what it finds to eat down there (unless it goes outside to find its nosh), but whatever it is it's less welcome in my cellar than the toad is.

Re: Toads
When I saw the title of this thread I honestly thought it was going to be about brake vans.
Thanks
