Hi people, so for those of us who have the very capable gaugemaster track cleaner wagon, thought you might like to see the small mod I did to to try and stop it looking like the HO wagon it is and look a little more like an OO one. Removed the body shell fitted a card "skirt" at the base of the shell which let me raise it's hight by about 5mm, painted the skirt BR rail yellow and pictures show the result. I can now live with it a bit more now running around the layout as it now doesn't look to out of place with my other OO stock.

Hi people, so the final phase to modify the Gaugemaster HO track cleaning wagon to more of a OO look involved painting the roof black, painting an orange warning line around the top, painting under frame black, wheel hubs yellow and warning danger of shock decals. Seen here with Hornby wagons all fitted with the brilliant 'Hunt coupling'. With close coupling fitted and having no problem on a 2nd radius curve

Looks so much better, nice job......what is this “Hunt coupling” you speak of?

OK...it’s those magnetic couplings, saw them quite a while ago and didn’t realise they were called Hunt couplings.

Shame I thought some amazing new auto/delayed couplings had made an appearance.
