Backscene blending success
Backscene blending success

Re: Backscene blending success
Quick rough and ready resizing.
1. Right click on your picture file and scroll down to "Open with" from the menu. In the sub menu choose "Paint".... NOT "Paint 3D"
It will open in Paint.
2. Press "Ctrl" + "W" keys (This will bring up the resize menu)
3. Press "tab" key once (This will put the cursor in the correct box)
4. Input a number lower than 100(%)
NOTE: Make sure the MAINTAIN ASPECT RATIO box is also ticked so it will link the 2 upper boxes!!
Click on "OK".
Done.
Now save the smaller file using a different filename from the original OR IT WILL OVERWRITE THE ORIGINAL!!
This will reduce your picture both in height and width by your chosen %
REMEMBER pictures need to be AT LEAST 500 pixels on one side to post on the forum.
The pictures from my camera are so big I have to repeat steps 2-4 three times.... first at 20% then twice at 80%.
Hope it helps.
Thanks

Re: Backscene blending success
Probably simpler just to upload them to a photo hosting site such as http://imgbb.com then use the BB code link it provides.
(Admin Edit) Feeling generous today, fixed the non working link.

That's excellent. Backscenes aren't the easiest things to get right, but that looks good.

Looks good, nice job you've done there. Regarding resizing photos, I use Photo Editor Online - nothing to download and really easy to use, just upload the photo, resize it (really simple to do) then save it back to your computer. You can also use it as a kind of photoshop, I've done that to get rid of TV aerials etc from pics I've used on my backscene. And best of all it's free to use.

Some better shots, thanks for photo editor it's worked..

Re: Backscene blending success
Would you check the registration of the Peacock Blue Vauxhall Viva coming out of that road. If it's KOJ 530E then am I due some appearance fees? Getting anything on the backscene to match up to the 3D world is an accomplishment, I found I could do it if I could control the viewing point. The row of houses behind the retaining wall in this view of my layout lines up ok from the point where I usually operate from.
Growing old, can't avoid it. Growing up, forget it!

That looks really good. I've obscured it from the other angle with a well positioned tree. Unsure of the viva plate! I think your odds are short on royaltys !!
Re: Backscene blending success
I've not bothered with one, as I wasn't sure I could achieve a good effect, but you have got me thinking about them now.
