Another glue question

Postby Buelligan » Mon Oct 14, 2019 10:44 am

Well the last time I asked advice about glue I got a lot more replies than I expected! So hopefully someone will be able to help with this.

My son has a Bachmann A4, and it’s got a couple of bits to stick on, the whistle and a little plaque that goes on the side of the cab. I’m not sure what sort of glue to use, something that won’t damage the plastic body or the paint, will stick it firmly, and is easy to apply.

Wasn’t sure on which section to put this, so could a mod please move to the correct section, thanks

PVA is usually ok or perhaps Pritt stick

I'd go with Pritt stick. poke the spigot end of the whistle into the Pritt then push it into the hole.
If the finish is shiny PVA may not hold well, if it's matt you may end up with a shiny patch around the plaque

Thanks, got a print stick in the cupboard so will give that a go, didn’t give that type of glue a thought for something like this.
