I've been away for some time!!

Postby piermaster » Sun Jul 21, 2019 1:16 pm

Hi All,

Only the older members may remember me as I was on these forums for some time until recent years and dropped away due to various circumstances.

I'm now back with two layouts doing the exhibition circuits:

New Walmington Pier is a 009 Edwardian seaside pier with its own tramway and is now 18 years old and still going strong see http://www.walmingtonpier.webs.com

And

All Cars Stop Here 所有的汽车停在这里 which is a 00 scale Hong Kong Tramways street scene where service disruptions cause trams to traverse an emergency crossover serving alighting and boarding shelters. See http://www.hongkongtramlayout.webs.com

Welcome back on board, piermaster. Glad to hear Walmington Pier is still running.

Thanks Glencairn,

Just done yet another revamp on New Walmington Pier principally adding a photo backscene of Beer Cliffs from Seaton and then reversing the photo and having it printed with cliff base above the pier deck to give depth to the bay, then divided the expanse of beach with my 'sea' using wargames palisade fencing as a groyne. The final bit was getting rid of that diabolical Hornby post-and-rail fencing and replacing it with laser-cut similar. http://www.walmingtonpier.webs.com

The Hong Kong Trams microlayout All Cars Stop Here 所有的汽车停在这里 has suffered extensive damage from seven shows in as many months and will be replaced in 2020 by a new microlayout bearing the same name in readiness for 2021.

Thank You 'Bufferstop'!

I've got nine shows next year with this and one of them shouldn't be too far from you? - Midarc, Wombourne 7/3/20

Thank You 'Mountain,' 'New Walmington Pier' will be at nine exhibitions this year, none of them are in Wales but you'll see the full exhibition schedule in the layout's website http://www.walmingtonpier.webs.com
