If the above thread teaches you one thing, it is that everyone has his (or her) own ideas of how to proceed with something, nobody is wrong, so read (or watch) everything before making your own mind up as to what you want, then get cracking! :D

Try to get to some exhibitions, where you not only see what is possible but can also talk to the builders. I found if I was a good listener I would go home with some great ideas. Also you can see a lot of stuff to decorate the layout and talk to the suppliers who often have demos to show how it works. As the old song goes " A picture paints a 1000 words "
