Count me in, I think...
I have a portable inglenook layout under construction.

Image
Only picture so far.

If I can get the track and "bare board" to a tolerable state completion by the end of March, my entry will be to bash kits etc. to "kit it out" with low relief buildings and other related items.
I will supply a few "before" photos so progress can be better judged
The special feature: this is all, boards, scenery, buildings, locos and stock, intended to fit down into a briefcase. OK, a fairly deep briefcase.

I hope no one will have any objections if I kick start my April competition piece early. Work has suddenly got very busy with the spring air encouraging everyone to want me at once to cut their grass. I'm a little worried that 30 days won't be enough time to get Things done.

You're not alone in starting early and some people started early last time so I wouldn't worry about it.

I have decided I will build an N Gauge Society wagon kit for this competition - a pair of Highfit open wagons.
My build thread will appear here.

Is it just me or is everyone bringing their 'A' game to this months competition? Everyone, so far, have presented very exciting and challenging builds setting a very high bar to compete against. Great stuff. :D

I'm using my number one method which is "quick and dirty, and wherever possible, cheat."
I no longer have what it takes for fine, detailed, meticulous and diligent work.
If I ever did...
There are modellers who operate in such modes whose work I much admire. Emulating? No.

I did say to Alex I wouldn't be joining in due to excessive build-up of unfinished jobs.
I'll still say I'm not in ............... But today ordered the Dapol diesel powered railway
crane, under £7 from you know who on Merseyside. Now IF I can catch up on enough of
my outstanding jobs I could join it with the crane, 'cos I want it anyway !!

Currently trying to tidy up part built projects from .......... 2010 !!!
