15th FEB Milton Keynes Model Railway Society show

Postby Dad-1 » Sun Feb 09, 2014 4:58 pm

Thought I'd better mention the Milton Keynes Exhibition.
I shall be there with Castell Mawr.
Only next Saturday, no time to think, just go ......
Huge number of layouts and more than a few traders !!

If you get the chance ..... NO make the chance to get to the
Milton Keynes Exhibition at Shenley, Milton Keynes this Saturday.

Over 40 layouts covering so many of the scales, loads of top traders

This is now probably one of the larger exhibitions around, so much
there you'll not manage to get around and see everything in the day !!

Programme & hall layout shown in the exhibitions section of RMweb.
Transport available from M.K & Bletchley stations so why not enjoy
with a train journey.

I would have liked to gone but I am helping with the Watford Finescale both days. I hope it goes well for you - has always been an excellent exhibition the few times I've been.

Yes, I will second that. I got there at 1130 and every surface, whether hard or soft, was taken for parking for I don't know how far around. I certainly walked a quarter of a mile and as I came into MK from the West I wasn't going to go further in only to come back out on a bus.

Show wise, possibly a bit too much spread over a large area and a fair bit of walking from hall to hall. Great variety of layouts and traders so no complaints there. This was my first visit to the MK show and I judged it as good value overall

Catering - astronomical ! I went and got a MacDonalds, it was cheaper !
