The advert is in the latest issue of Giant Warplanes so I would imagine they are launching it nationwide after what appeared to be a localised trial last year.

A little bit too good, and there's a saying about that ... the models are described as diecast, yet the illustrations look very much like current Hornby models. I shall be interested to see what they really look like :)

very optimistic - but could they be like the coaches a few months ago based on the model but in this case without a motor etc?

if so they could be very useful indeed (yes its wishful thinking :lol: )


mind you the fact they are 00 could support this? why else would they be this scale normally these collections are smaller scales to save on materials?

No, thats the old del Prado N scale jobbies, these new ones are OO scale.

First issue was in local newsagents today - Mallard £2.99

will take some photos at lunch if i get time but put it this way you get what you pay for :lol:

ideal for a bit of weathering or painting experience

yes, I picked up one today, a bit disappointing really. not bad for £2.99 but I'll not be getting any more in the series.
