Another Loco Question

Postby The Ferret » Thu Jan 09, 2014 5:21 pm

Is there an r-t-r G.W.R. 43/53/63xx (Mogul) 2-6-0 in OO gauge made?

I have a Mainline one but it is getting old and tired and has never run well.

As a loco type it is so versatile and useful.

I'm sure Bachmann do these, as has been said in your other thread, well the 43xx anyway......

Hi Ferret,

Bachmann did do one but it doesn't appear to be listed on their website. This model still had the old split frame chassis which we'll all agree isn't all that good even with the upgrades it has had over the years. The fact it is apparently missing from their site makes me a little suspicious that it might be receiving a long overdue new chassis but I could be utterly wrong.

Might be worth an email to check first?

Yes a very useful loco - powerful for its size and a high route availability - I have 3 :!:

Could do with a new chassis - I think Comet do a replacement chassis too - for the Mainline/Bachmann bodies....

Thank you, Mahogany Dog, I have e-mailed Bachmann as you suggested but may have to wait a day or two for their reply.

Thank you, also Pete 6c for your suggestion of a Comet chassis

I have 3 bachmann ones, two run very well, one is an utter dog. Typical of bachmann split chassis locos really. If you do buy one, you really need to see it running first.
