Running a live video link from a wagon.

Postby NEvans » Tue Dec 04, 2012 10:45 pm

Hi, probably discussed elsewhere but I couldn't find a post (these new glasses are sh!t).

Suddenly had a thought/brainwave/question. But how do you run a live video from a miniture camera on your train to a laptop? Would be an excellent part of a display on a layout at an exhibition, maybe include it into a listing showing your running sequence.

I have seen an exhibition layout with a fixed camera within a building in its shunting yard showing the live view on a nearby screen.

So what do I need and how do I do it????

There was a system advertised a few years back which did just that. I think it may still be available but searching for it is difficult as you get buried by all the "key ring" cameras that record to memory, not transmit back. It will turn up eventually.
