I'd rather have F, Q, R, or even 38 stock. Mind you with those panoramic cab windows that'll give the driver a great yiew of the beggar that goes under.

In case you are not aware, there is a manufacturer of R-T-R stock for the U/G.
Metromodels have been around a while, run by John Polley who works for the
U/G and therefore knows his stuff!
He also exhibits his superb layout 'Abbey Road' [U/G of course].
Not the cheapest around, but quality doesn't come cheap!
Cheers, Jeff
PS he's a nice bloke as well

If they did the Glasgow Subway Cars they would be closer to actual scale track gauge than anything else produced, the Subway is 4ft gauge = 16mm in finescale so 16.5mm would be pretty close!! :D

Nice and I would get one, but I would prefer to see some 1972 Bakerloo and some A60/A62 stock personally. I will still buy this one however ;).

Well, they already do the station buildings to match, so...

Good luck to them.

If Bachmann go for a RTR class 378, then my bank account is in serious trouble as I add 350's, Pendolinos etc to my layout!

I am aware of John Polley and his fantastic Abby Road layout.
I seriously looked at his IOW stock but was frightened off by the price.

It did strike me as strange that Bachmann do the Underground/Metropolitan buildings but not the trains to go with them apart from the Pannier tank.
So maybe they have been planning to do tube stock for some time.

Good move if true. Bachmann are clearly hunting around for genres that sell, and since surface EMU's have definitely taken off, why not the underground types?

Without putting a downer on this, i find it highly unlikely that this is true. Where did these rumours start?

I know of two items that will be in next years catalogue, and possibly a third too. But this is the first i've heard of underground stock.

If they are only at the thinking stage it could be 2 or 3 years before we see the start of a model.
