That's a realistic price as these are the old Mainline tooling (and unless someone can positively identify a subject don't accurately represent LMS vans). Compare to the old Airfix GMR LMS van body, now produced by Dapol, which despite deficiencies is at least the right size and overall shape. Put the Mainline or Bachmann alongside, and it looks like a pre-group design because it is undersize - but pre-group design vans didn't have corrugated steel ends...

Bachmann LMS vans are worth buying - BUT for the chassis - that you can then pop a Dapol or Airfix body onto.

A word of caution the late LMS vans including a batch built in early BR times had diagonal bracing on the side panels - which only appeared in the 40's.

Cambrian have a good range of earlier LMS vans, including an MR version...

Quite so, and especially if you look at the current prices for the wheels and couplers!

Another good use for these is to file the body exteriors smooth and 're-skin' them with the body panels and roof of vans for which there is no kit version available, careful re-skinning brings them up to scale overall dimensions. Same applies to the Mainline and early Bachmann production of LNER Toad E style brake vans which were also seriously undernourished in the body department. These can be easily mangled into passable models of the last types of GN and GE brake vans.

Not up to Accurascale standards, but ideal for someone just starting out or as a basis for a project.
By the way someone on ebay is selling a second hand one of these for £12.75.

You could get 2 for the same price at Hereford Models, even though it was first advertised on their site on Wednesday 29 August, 2012. It's a bit dated!

Expo Tools Xuron 2193 HARD cutters for only £13.49.
Just to make sure I sent them a message asking if they were genuine EXPO Xuron's.

"Yes these are genuine Xuron tools from the US. Please note that these tools will be shipped in the non retail packaging as we mainly sell these to Industry that do not require the fancier packaging, they come in a Xuron cardboard sleeve."

These will do my SEEP's very nicely thank you. :D

Only a 4 pairs left! Because I just bought a pair.
Thanks

not necessarily bargains, but from a previous post I noticed that Hereford Models seem to still have models that I've not seen in stock for years at prices I've not seen for years, in this case it was the gresley suburbans, never seem to see them in stock anywhere and on the odd occasion I do they're like £40-50 each, found them on the hereford models site for ~£30 each, bit steep, but its roughly the price I paid for mine in 2014/15 and second hand ones on ebay cost more

saw a bachmann 3f tender in br early for £61 on there too, which looks like the one I got in 2012, for around the same price

Everyone Wants A Hair Cut ??
That is unless :-
A) you have no hair
B) You have a wife or partner that you trust to do it
C) You enjoy looking like the wild man of Borneo.

AND SO IT'S TIME TO TRIM BARGAINS.
How far I get ? perhaps back to Jan 2019.

Being as the listing shows 124 sold, I assume the seller is out of stock and hence set the price this high to deter buyers till he has more stock.
