Make sure you choose your layout scale as HO not OO. Also the Peco parameter file does not include set track points, only streamline points but it does include some settrack curves.

Is there a Windows based version ?

If so can someone post the link to the download lease?

The sourceforge appears (and I might be daft here) to have a Unix version.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Does anyone know where to download the hornby parameter files, that website that everyone suggests doesn't seem to work. And hornby 3rd rail doesn't give all the curves needed and I don't want to try making my own.

They're available from the Yahoo Groups XTrkCad page.

Another question, I am going to laser cut my design onto mdf. Is there a way of removing the lines around the edge that tells you how big your board is, the one that goes 0.0 1.0 2.0 etc ?

Instructions:
right click on these 2 links and choose "save target as" (for Microsift Internet Explorer) or "Save link As" (for Mozilla Firefox) and save it somewhere that you can find it e.g. the Desktop or "My Documents" (that's your My Documents not mine)
http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/robsstu ... rnbyHO.xtp
http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/robsstu ... rnbyOO.xtp
copy the files to \program files\xtrkcad\params
in XtrkCad go to Files, Parameter Files and browse for HornbyHO.xtp and HornbyOO.xtp
lots of Hornby things will appear on your tool bar.
The links for getting hornby track don't work anymore
I have this engine like the picture :) GWR 0-6-0 Pannier tank
Check out Andrew's layout Hookstoke Junction UPDATED! Should do more work as it's now the Easter Holidays :) After the holdiays are over, my layout won't get updated much Age = 15

A) Thank you to rob for coming in and sorting everything out there
B) In the OO file the curved points didn't seem to be the right size
I tried using it in a layout that I know works in real life (with tight fitting joins) and and they wouldn't fit. :?
has anyone else had these problems? or is it my computer?
sorry it isn't possible to put the xtc file on here
but here's a bitmap output of it:

the curved points might well be wrong because I didn't have any and I couldn't work out how to make them from the hornby trackplan book so I used a ruler and scaled them up. Set track curved points are the spawn of the devil anyway. See if you can make them yourself.

Sorry to bring up an old thread!

I haven't used XTrkCAD in ages and ive opened up an old file of mine:
layout1.PNG
layout1.PNG (151.04 KiB) Viewed 14094 times
I would like to know how to get a snapshot as such of the plan? I have tried to export as a bmp but I can't seem to get the export to look like this:
layout2.PNG
layout2.PNG (289.94 KiB) Viewed 14094 times
And how do I get rid of the pink track? And just make it the same as the rest?

Kind Regards

Edward :)
