Check that you have adequate clearance between the inner and outer loop curves at the front to avoid stock clashing when passing.

I would consider wiring it for the cab control method. May I suggest a book called the PSL guide to model railway wiring. There is another excellent book that a gentleman in here wrote about model railway wiring. I can't remember the title. Hang on. I will look.
