Peco small point question

Postby Julia » Thu Apr 01, 2010 1:46 am

Can anyone who has a peco small point tell me how much rail there is between the end of the blade, and the end of the track?

Thanks

Hi,

Which gauge point are you asking about ?

20mm just over from the blade tip, but only 19mm just under from the rail end to where the rail is ground away to make room for the blade to sit in. i wouldn't recommend removing more than one sleeper if you want to shorten this to compact things a bit. you could in theory remove 2 sleepers but you would be relying on what the point is connected to to keep the gauge correct.

Perfect, I am not wanting to shorten it, but I am trying to work out how long a length of track after the point is needed to fit a class 24/25 in. Seems that my design is *just* long enough...

Thanks for all who helped.

I had thought this a strange extreme finescale question until I noticed the date.
