That is a great shot. I agree with Tim there. I was mad enough to be running trains the day after the snow fell too but I won't hijack your thread with links my videos.. just look under my channel on youtube which is under the same Pseudonym I use on here if you want to have a look.
Tim you will be pleased to know the rake of blue/grey Mk1s are still giving sterling service on the line by the way. They have been augmented by an RMB now too.
A Merry Christmas to you and 87 101

If there was going to be a photograph of the year competition, yours Dav would certainly get my vote.

With the current topic of disscussion being the weather I thougt about an update on the garden railway. Most of the railway has been covered with about 8" of snow. Today I have removed a lot of the snow from the railway to check the condition of the trackbed and I am glad to report that it is holding up well. There are no signs of the track bed cracking up due to the icy conditions that we have had now for the past three weeks. Anyway heres a selelction of pics from the past couple of days..
The water tower at Woodham station..
Cobblers hall signal box buried in snow..
Lakeside station..
Theres a railway out there somewhere..
The viaducts..
Thankfully the roof over the outside scenic area is holding up well..
The driveway yesterday..
Sunset last night..
Todays 'dig out'...

Looks very similar to the state of mine too at the moment. The track is covered with about 1 inch of solid ice topped with 3 inches of snow. I doubt I'll be running trains this coming weekend

And the same goes for the GGR just not soooooooooo much of that funny white stuff called snow. I haven't even got a snowplough either so can't even make an attempt to clear any of the track at all. Doubtful if I will even be considering running any trains for the next few days or ever weeks if this freeze continues

I've got mini ploughs attached to 3 of my 47's but alas they cannot plough through a scale 18ft of solid Ice!

Meanwhile, other side of the world, we're having a stinking hot January, and your photos work nearly as well as air conditioning in cooling me down!

Knowing how busy you are on Potters Lane even a few pictures of how its looking currently would be nice since it has stopped snowing for some considerable time
