Accurascale BR mk1 57' non-gangwayed

Major 'Bravo!' for joined up thinking, the BR 57' underframe BR mk1 non-gangwayed stock announced. These are a very logical adjunct to the Brush type 2 (TOPS 30, 31) already announced, as these vehicles were dragged mostly by this Brush traction for near 20 years on the KX suburban service. (Other traction that worked this stock on these turns or shifted them as ECS that are available or announced include A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, B1, B12, B17, J50, K3, L1, N2, N7, V2, TOPS 08, 15, 20, 21, 23, 24, 25, 26, 30, 31, 37, 40, 45, 46, 47, 55; some very infrequently admittedly, but it's a fair selection to hand for dragging them about.

The offering appears to be 3 vehicle types, the 2 most common vehicles, second and brake second (S, BS), and the never previously available in RTR OO composite lavatory (CL), which was used in the outer suburban service sets. The only competition is the very basic Bachmann S and BS of distinctly 1980s vintage. Accurascale are really pushing boundaries with the quality of these coaches and the price reflects that, they are even featuring the repairs to rusted out door bottoms (of moderately fond memory, great in summer for extra draught in a compartment full of a dozen or more sweaty office workers, make your feet into iceblocks in the hard winters we still had back then) and a mass of detail previously only found in European HO. Launch liveries are BR Crimson and Craporporate Blue: I'll be waiting for the BR Maroon, assuming these will be produced in time.

"One element we are particularly proud of, and one that was forthcoming in customer feedback across the industry, is granting access to the interior in an easier fashion to add passengers and further detail. This is essential considering the increasing detail being added to models. So, with that challenge on board, we have come up with a fully removable magnetic roof!"
What a clever idea! :)

And lighting too!
"Interior coach lighting with stay-alive capacitor, pick up from one bogie and a reed switch to control on/off via magnetic wand."

They look like very detailed models, obviously reflected in the price, but handsome none the less.
Thanks
